RCB vs MI – IPL2020 Match 10 Review

Yet another nail biting match witnessed by the cricketing fans around the globe. Yes, I’m talking about the 10th Indian Premier League 2020 match between Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Mumbai Indians on 28th September 2020.

Yet another 200+ score game, but the result was decided in an SUPER Over. Another Indian youngster almost made a century in the match. Yes, Ishan Kishan made 99 in the match between Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Mumbai Indians on 28th September 2020.

Mumbai Indians won the toss and elected to field first, Royal Challengers Bangalore had a brilliant opening partnership between D Padikkal and AJ Finch. They both added 81 Runs in just 8 overs. This time too, Virat Kohil did not trouble the bowlers and got out for just 3 runs and RCB total was 92/2 in 12.2 overs.

One again AB de Villiers who is in brilliant batting form, scored half century (55 Runs) in just 24 balls with 4 fours and 4 sixes. Ab de Villier along with Shivam Dube helped the Royal Challengers Bangalore set the target of 200 for Mumbai Indians.

Mumbai Indian had a huge target of 201 to chase, however, they lost three early wickets including the Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma gone without troubling the RCB bowlers.

Mumbai Indians were 39-3 in 6.4 overs. Then Ishan Kishan and Hardik Pandya had a 39 Runs partnership for 4th wicket and Mumbai Indians were at 78-4 in 11.2 Overs.

Mumbai Indians need 123 to reach the target in the next 58 Balls. Then came the KA Pollard he along with the young Indian Batsmen able to add 119 runs in 57 Balls and Ishan Kishan got out at 99 Runs and Mumbai Indians needed 5 Runs to win the match and KA Pollard grabbed 4 runs between deep square and deep midwicket. And that’s a tie and the match went into SUPER OVER.

Mumbai Indian batted first in the Super over, brilliant bowling by NA Saini, the Mumbai Indian managed to get only 7/1 Runs.

Royal Challengers Bangalore with the help of AB de Villiers and Virat Kohil reached the target with 3 singles and 2 fours. (11/0)

MI vs KKR – IPL 2020 Match 5 Review

Mumbai Indians, four time Indian Premier League champions, had their first win in 13th edition on Indian Premier League 2020 against Kolkata Knight Riders on 23rd September 2020.

5th IPL 2020 match was played between MI vs KKR on 23rd September 2020 at Abu Dhabi, Kolkata Knight Riders won the toss and elected to field first, Mumbai Indian in 20 overs made a huge total of 195/5.

Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma batted brilliantly in the match and made 80 runs in just 54 balls with 3 fours and 6 sixes. SA Yadav also batted equally alongside his captain and made 47 runs of just 28 balls with 6 fours and one six. Rohit Sharma and SA Yadav had 90 runs for the second wicket partnership.

SS Tiwary (21 runs in 13 balls with 1 four and 1 six), HH Pandya (18 runs of 13 balls in ) and KA Pollard had added runs to the total-195 with their short innings.

Shivam Mavi was best from KKR bowling side, picked up two wickets by giving 32 runs in 4 overs.

In reply to the huge target of 195, Kolkata Knight Riders never had a good partnership between the players to reach the target and they managed to make only 146/9 in 20 overs.

PJ Cummins (33 Runs in 12 balls with 1 four and 4 sixes) quick and short innings came in the end, but didn’t help the KKR to win the match.

Mumbai Indian bowled really well to restrict the KKR for just 146 Runs, took the wickets in regular intervals which halted Kolkata Knight Riders run chase. Each bowler who bowled got the wicket except KH Pandya who just bowled one over.

But, good news to all the cricket fans and specially the fans back in India, that the 13th Edition of Indian Premier League is going to start from 19th September 2020 in Abu Dhabi and ends on Tuesday November 10 2020.

A total of 56 league matches will be played among below 8 teams, and 2 semi-finals and 1 mega final on 10th November 2020.
